It's on the truck for delivery today, I will admit to a lot of anticipation here. A lot... So, show me something? Make me salivate over this rare Nikon glass that I will be lucky to own.

Now, I just hope I can need up with Fed Ex today. At least someone will be home from 1-5, maybe it hits then and all is good. :)

It's a good thing you don't live in Houston. We had a efdEx traactor trailer catch on fire this AM and the entire load was lost.

   that's horrible. I hope the driver is ok.

That would have been an impossible loss to recover from, but hopefully the local driver will be a safte driver and I get it as planned today.

  10. When it comes to the 28 1.4, I always tend to jump and participate actively. Probably because it's THE lens.

Awesome Geno! The colors are just remarkable, so rich and full.

Nute, way to carry on with a "theme". :)

Stunning Ned, the last 2 wedding photoswere just wonderful, and I am sure made the bride and groom VERY happy. Nice additional series too!!! I appreciate all the samples!

The EAGLE has landed, and she looks fine. I didn't look for that characteristic hairline crack so many I have heard of having. But Ruben delivered the goods to me right down to the box and all associated papers. :) I had little time at lunch, but did snap a couple of low lighters just for taste. no downloads or uploads yet though. Soon though!!! I will be into it tonight! I am really excited about it.

  13. Congratulations Doug, these wonderful but expensive babies are hard to find.
One would think that Nikon would someday bring these low-light sucking babies back into production.

I do not want to talk about the Noct, no no no... lol. I dreamed for a long time about this lens, really thought it would never become reality, then persistent discussion turned into time to deal for me and Ruben. :) I did have a hand generating cash for my purchase as I let one of my primes go for this. But it was worth it I feel. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

LOL Ned, I will have to apply brakes for a while on my lustrous glassware. Enjoy the moment. Someday maybe a noct will yell at me, but I don't know when that may be... For now, I'm stoked!
