Good to see these Chris. Sorry I missed that part of the weekend. Curious about the eyes in those 2 pics also.

It might be, Never shot one with a flash.
Owls have yellow eyes and they will turn green or red... (demon) eye:>)))

I'm glad you liked them.

Shots 3 and 4 are of the rare voodoo witchdoctor heron. When they see photographers, their eyes roll to the back of their head, making them look white. Then they cast a spell that brings forth bad weather and crappy lighting.

The only way to catch these guys is with a flash and a better beamer. Otherwise, they look like normal herons.
