    Talk about excited.

Like Jim F, I kept checking the Nikon site every day. Finally, this morning, instead of 'Parts hold' it said 'In shop'. When I got home today, it said 'Bill'. Then I went out my front door, and lo and behold, it was sitting on my front porch in a box. What a tracking system.

Everything looks real good. Even the loose rubber on the CF card door has been glued back down again. The piece of trash that Nikon put in the viewfinder when I got the metering fixed is even gone. Only complaints are that they reset every custom setting (didn't take long to fix that), and even thought they cleaned the sensor, there was a small piece of debris in the lower left corner. The rocket blower fixed that.

Did I say that I'm excited.
  2. Glad you have it back, Frank.

The real test will be taking some photos with it.

Your experience with nikon service is identical to others I have read about.

Congrats Frank...glad to know that you are back in business.
  8. Congrats on the twins
  9. Chris,
I will raise you that if it were not for Wilma, and maybe even with Wilma, Frank would be in Florida this weekend.
  10. Good news, so are you going to sell one of the H models to get an Hs?

Thanks guys and gals. Brett, I'd like to have and Hs, but don't have the coin for it right now. Maybe next year.

Chris wins the bet. Anybody want to go to the dam Saturday.
  13. Frank, you should start selling your birdie shots. Wouldn't take long to raise the coin for the Hs! Seeing Ben's shots always makes me drool!!!

I just had that exact conversation with Sandi (TOLady). The problem with making it a business is that it can take the fun out of shooting, and it takes time away from shooting. I'd like to get there some day, but when I get done with work now, I just want to go shoot. It certainly would make Janie happy though.
