Several months ago I sold my D300 and a couple good lenses for financial reasons.

    With that now behind me..

I made the investment. I bought a D700. I got a reconditioned one from Adorama. Under 50 shutter releases! Seems like reconditioned is the way to go.

I know this will be a camera that I will need to "grow" into, as it's much more cameral than I really need, but what the hell...

I've started with a Tamron 28-75 2.8 and am saving to start building my lens collection.

Can't wait to start taking pictures!

Congrat on a great camera Matt. Yes, you can grow into this camera, and I really believe that this one will not be obsolete for quite some time.

Wait until you explore what this baby can do with high iso's!

  12. Matt, you'll love that camera, it's the best body I own now. In fact I'm going to give it a work out tomorrow.

Congrats! You'll definitely love the camera. I'm consistently surprised by its high ISO performance. It truly is a great performer.
