Today my son and I together with my mom went and visited my grandma in her nursing home. My grandma unfortunately suffers from Alzheimer's and is a shadow of her former self. The only good that comes of this is that she gets to meet Marcus (my son) for the very first time, every time.

Marcus who is now 22 months old knows very well who she is and goes with my mom weekly to visit her, she's known to him as gramma-gramma. He absolutely adores my grandma and is always asking to visit. They have such a very special relationship.

    2 photo's from today's visit, D300 and a rented 85 1.4.

    A kiss for gramma-gramma

Touching. Your son probably won't remember these visits when he's older, so it's great that you have these pictures to share this story with him.
