Saw this guy coming from across the lake, pumped up the shutter speed and fired a few shots as he turned. Im still impressed with how much faster the AF is on my D800 compared to the D300.

Nice! I love watching these birds for some reason. They look somewhat prehistoric. I also like the detail of the water droplets off the feet.

Very nice. I shot over the weekend with two cameras. My D800 with my 500 and my D300 with the new 80-400vr. It is like night and day difference in how fast the AF is on the D800 vs the D300. The faster fps on the D300 is sure nice though.

What do you think of the new 80-400VR? I'm very interested in that lens.
