that was the vr version of the 80-400 wide open. This is a very underrated lens and so much fun to shoot because it's so light and the range is perfect

this may be my fav great egret shot and I have alot of them as they are everywhere in Florida

Randy - I forgot to add that I've got that lens and like it a lot. The only thing I can reasonably complain about other than a lack of personal skill using it is that sometimes the bokeh is harsh even when shooting wide open.
