I'm still slogging through the several thousand images that I shot at Merritt and decided to post a few here. These were shot with the D2H / 300mm 2.8. As you can see, the lighting was rather severe, and in all cases the birds were back lit against a very glary sky.

Dont care how the background or lighting is, GREAT shots Frank. Question, do you sleep with that lens. LOL!!!! Great job

Wow Frank, these are just great. Sure wish I could have been there with you when we were visiting Florida. Makes me want two things, rather three, A faster camera, beautiful subjects and your skill. Nice series.

What can I say about these images.....Perfect. What makes them special compared to most avian images is your artistic compositions.
