Nice spot with him tucked away in there. IMO the moss makes for a unique setting. I really like the second one.

I am glad people like the moss. This isn't an image I would normally keep but the moss makes it unusual and it was taken while traveling, which meant I would not have a chance to go bck for a better image.
The moss cradles the bird, especially in #2. Very unique and pleasing to the eye.

Nice!! We have one that visits our yard occasionally. Aren't they fun to watch?!
I like it whwen a chick is showing lots of movement. I looked at one this morning for an hour waiting for it to move but it never did. 
I think that most of us would be real proud to have taken these shots. I like them both but compositionally would probably choose the second one as my favorite.
I thnk I would like them a bit more if I had more spacec. I had an FX Nikon wwith 1000mm of lens for this.
