Green heron (I think)

Discussion in 'Birds' started by daodang, May 2, 2007.

  1. Met last sunday late afternoon in Montreal Botanical Gardens. It was an heavy overcast day.

I followed him for almost an hour before he decided to fish. Right at the moment he catched his prey, there was a sun breakthrough illuminating him. Tell me about luck

It was very instructive to see him using his tongue to get the fish out of his beak.
