I got around to working on a few more shots from my trip to Vierra.
These are of one of the greenies I stalked. This guy seemed to enjoy walking around in the muck.

Even greenies have bad hair (feather?) days

    Chris,
Great shots. Clean, sharp and interesting. I love seeing green heron and have never been able to shoot one.

    Chris,

Good shots. I'm surprised that you were able to get so close.

    I'm glad you liked them.
I chased him around the pond, trying to get closer. When I got too close, he would squawk, then fly to the other side. I would follow him over there, and the process would start over again. I'm sure he got sick of me.

  6. You've captured the colours very accurately on these Green Herons, one of my fav birdies. Now if only you could have talked him into stepping forward one or two steps in #3 & #4. Unfortunately greenies aren't cooperative that way. Heaven knows, I've tried. I like these photos.

  7. Nice sharp shots, Chris!!

  8. Excellent work, sharpness, exposure and saturation are all great!
