    Ok, it was actually in the North Yorkshire Moors here in England (a few miles West of Whitby).

    I was lucky with the sun position and the sky (we had pretty variable weather for the week) and it definitely had a very "exotic" feel to it. Also, I managed to isolate one tree - there were a few more around - which helps with the look.
