time to start a new thread,

our old one is here: Gun Photos, and activity shots Vol 1 (closed)

and our rules about posting firearm images on the cafe:

Posts without photos and opinions about self defense, CCW, best guns etc. are not allowed on the cafe. We remove comments that were both pro and con gun control, (because of the danger of it going political) and we request that most of the posts are gun photographs, and photographs of actual firearms usage. An occasional comment about the gun, modifications, custom work is allowed, but detailed questions about the best gun for CCW, self defense, etc. is not appropriate for the cafe.

Thanks for your understanding folks, and post away.

Wade

An old and well used .44 Colt Walker. The most powerful black powder pistol made.

Wade/Rob: Thanks for the kind words.
This "cowboy re-enactment" association has several different timed races. The targets are steel, angled to deflect the shot into the ground right in front of the target. They register the "ping" electronically and verify number of hits that way. Unfortunately the electronic gizmo is hand-held and got in the way of some of the best pictures.

re: the cathouse: -- yep. shooting down from the doors, run down the stairs, shoot through the windows/doors, run over to the "horse" and shoot from the saddle, run over to another place --- all timed and rated for accuracy. And please don't shoot yourself pulling the gun out of the holster.

This competition fed up into the State level which fed up into the US National level.
Oddest thing is I heard a lot more about their group back in Alabama, than over here in Texas!
