Over on another forum, people are talking about using a gun stock to help with large lenses. Is there a website or picture that can explain this?

Thanks.

No, it was a German telephoto set in a case with a "rifle" wooden shoulder stock. The joke was would it make it through Customs. Actually it would; I work for Customs.

Patrick, those are pretty interesting. Does anyone have any experience using them?

I got to hold one while photographing Eagles earlier in the year. I wasn't impressed. Although, it may be because the guy was using a Nikon 5005 and a 500 mirror lens.

Sorry. Do you have a link to the product you were speaking of? :)
