Nice shot. Exposure, focus and pose are great! I think both images however could benefit from increased contrast and sharpening. I have included a cropped example for your assessment.
ouch dan a bit much. good shot jonathan
thanks dan! i like your crop. I see some halos around the head as far as sharpening goes. I usually only boost contrast when its a higher ISO but may play around with it! Thanks so much for the ideas and thoughts! regards
Ooophs! Was in a rush and the second go around on this was over the top!
no worries dan! i like it
jonathan, great capture...but they both looked like they needed a little bit of levels adjustment to bring back some clarity...here are my attempts at both the color and bw images:
I'll take these down if you wish.
Good lookin' guy!!
John, thanks so much for working on these! I do like the pop added by the levels adjustment and the texture of light it seems to add in the black and white. I am still a little unsure on the eyes though as I like the eyes better in the original. I may also create a layer mask and just work the levels on james while leaving the background untouched. Hmm ideas ideas
thanks so much for the help here john
Sorry about the burn job on the shirt ... it was quick and dirty.
