Always Marry an April Girl
Praise the spells and bless the charms,
I found April in my arms.
April golden, April cloudy,
Gracious, cruel, tender, rowdy;
April soft in flowered languor,
April cold with sudden anger,
Ever changing, ever true --
I love April, I love you.

Holy moly 49 years ! wow that is nothing less than amazing Sir.
I wonder all the time how it would feel to grow old with my lady. I still have the First picture that I took of her and I've saved it tucked away for an occasion as special as yours to give back to her and hope it'll remind her of why I fell for her in the first place. haha.

Any who, congrats and may you have lots more cheerful anniversaries.

It's my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary this year (next month in fact). I'm already too old to ever make it that long! Congratulations :m33:

Thanks all! We're going to dinner at the Outback Steakhouse. I'm springing for her anniversary prime rib and she's paying for my birthday rack of lamb. :biggrin:

Rich, you've found a wonderful, beautiful girl about 50 years ago.

Congratulations Rich. Your anniversary "splurge" dinner sounds similar our normal anniversary "splurge". We used to do the expensive restaurant thing, but after a while it's just another expensive restaurant meal where you've paid more than you wanted and feel overstuffed afterwards.

Thanks Connie. It's a scan of a photo I took when she came over while I was working with the World Customs Organization in Belgium in 1994; it's one of my favorites. It was taken in Bruges.
