Same to you Frank. Our family is going to the pool after the kid's nap. Here are a few from this morning's neighborhood parade. Have an enjoyable and safe holiday everyone.

Uncle Frank, Thanks for the good wishes. I only wish texas had some of your weather for today. I doubt there is anywhere in Texas dry enough to celebrate the 4th. We are going to some friends later today for our 38th annual 4th of July get together, and probably only the 2nd one to be rained out for fireworks.
  4. Same to you, Frank....

I've been reading up on shooting fireworks, planning on scouting out a good spot from which to shoot our local display. Looking forward to that.
Have a great celebration with your families, Frank, and everyone!

    Happy Fourth!

    Here's a shot I took this evening.
Small town fireworks at a local park.
    I had fun though.
    The area is dark.
I set the iso at 200 and the f-stop at 11.0
put the shutter on bulb and worked it with the remote.
Open before the firework - close after the firework.
I believe this is two different shells.
On some of the shots I left the aperture open
for a few shells and given that the exposure was
for 13 seconds this must be one of those
