The Ai-S 105mm f/2.5 has become my favorite portrait lens, it is incredibly good. I expected my AF 85mm f/1.4D to take its place (favorite portrait lens), but that just has not happened. The 85 is great in its own way and I'll use it plenty, but I reach for my 105 more often. Best part about it is that you can still get them for less then $150...
