Hard to Swallow

Discussion in 'Birds' started by EdMac, Jul 1, 2007.

  1. There wasn't much activity on the beach this morning, but the swallows were out. I took this hand held with the 80-400 mounted on my D200. These birds are just too fast to capture in flight.
    Comments welcome as always.

These are pretty birds Ed. I wasted a few minutes on a pair myself this morning but got dizzy and quit.

  6. Hi Gary,
Thank you. The beach was pretty quiet this morning.
  7. Hi Andy,
Thanks, I know what you mean about speed and making one dizzy LOL
  8. I finally saw one resting Thursday around me. Only problem, I was not at home. I had no camera & I was on top of a horse riding a lesson. ;-) Oh yes that's three problems.....

Great little shot of such sweet & fast flying birds. :)  Maybe if I hang out near where they hang out (under the freeway overpass) I'll get lucky one of these days....... No, don't want to photograph them there. But I might figure out where they hang out at other times.....

    Thanks for sharing

  9. Hi Juanice,
    Thanks for looking, and commmenting.
  10. Hi Gale,
I have been trying to get one in flight for several years. Maybe one of these days I will get lucky LOL.
  11. Hi lil,
Thanks for the nice words. I hope you have success in capturing a few shots of these.
