Flew's got his GBH hotspot, now I have one too. Harris told me about this little retention pond at the H.S. not 1/2 mi from home, so I went there just after dawn this am, and saw a good 2 dozen Sandhills there. C&Cs welcomed.

This one's a little soft on his head, but thought the comp was interesting.

I'll comment, but I don't have too many criticisms. Looks like you've found one of Harris's goldmines. All very nice shots, and I just love the beautiful light.

Are you having fun yet?

It looks like you're enjoying Florida. Great shots. Don't those Sandhill Cranes make some strange noises. There was a group that decided to winter at a duckhole that I used to have. It is very rare for them to be in North Mississippi. The first time that I heard them it was before daylight and I could not see where it was coming from.

  6. Great shots what you need to do now is start exploring and find some hotspots you can show to Harris
  7. I am so envious. I love those Sandhills. Sure wish we had a few here.

    Thanks Everyone, and

the more I get to know my way around the area, the better chance I have of exploring neat little birdie hideouts with getting myself completely lost!

    Hey Steve
Are you just on vacation down there, or did you just pick up and move so you could shoot the birds??

  10. Great shots, Steve. Love the #2 pose. I see the 500mm worths its price.
  11. Only comment is Sharp, crisp, well exposed and great poses...
