I don't know if this Egyptian Goose was trying to imitate a fence straddling politician or just looking for a handout. Must be quite a chore to balance on a narrow metal fence rail with web feet!

She stood on this fence for about 5 minutes while I took several shots.

Thanks, everyone for the nice comments! I also thought this was a rather funny place to find a goose. A pair of these Egyptian Geese hang out most days on the pond behind my home, but often spend the early morning hours on my roof. I've seen them in strange places (like the top of my chimney), but never on the fence. They are fairly domesticated, so it's easy to get close to them. I was about 8 feet away when I took this shot.

Anthony747 - This shot was taken with the D2H and 70-200VR f2.8 lens, handheld, with flash. I'd love to have a D2X, though!
