HB-? What shade for a 80-200 AF-S

    I guess the title says it all.
    Anyway, I got one coming from KEH with no shade.
    Will said they didn't have one in stock, and I never thought to
    ask what to look for. I know somebody here knows.

  3. I have that lens and shade but not near to where I am now. I will check and get back to you. I am fairly certain it is an HB-28
     
  4. Jim seems confident in his response so I would expect that is it.. Will check mine later for sure
     
  5. The 80-200 AF-S uses the HB-17 hood and unfortunately they're quite scarce.

    Thanks folks,

    Got what I need to know.
    I googled them both, and it looks like the 17
    is for the AF-S, and the 7 is for the non AF-S.

    Again, thanks for the quick responces.
    This is a great place for Nikon Info!

    is it a petal type or a full round one?
     
  8. The 17 is a petal style and IIRC the 7 is round.
