    Hello everyone
This is my first post to this forum although I have been lurking for a while. My name is Richard Fleet and I live in Fort Lauderdale Fl. I’ve been interested in photography for about 40 years but have just started to take it seriously in the last year or so. I’ve been active on the STF of DPR for awhile and that is where I meet Harry Barrett who I consider a good friend. This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting other members of the NCF in Viera for a impromptu shoot of the wetlands and Merritt Island. I must tell you I cant remember when I have had so much fun or enjoyed being with a group of people more. I’m a Sony 828 owner and love my camera but during this shoot I was just put to shame by the incredible images captured
by those Nikon cameras and lens. With my TC I only have 360mm of lens and it became quite apparent early on that a lot of the shots just were not going to be available to me. So I had to get a little creative I hope you
like what I managed to get.

    Hey Richard,

It was great meeting you and shooting together this past weekend. You can actually embed your shots by highlighting the links (one at a time of course), and clicking the little button. I did it for you on these shots to demonstrate.

    Very nice shots BTW.... :p

    Regards,

    Frank

  4. Hi there

    Richard
How goes it pleasure meeting you and your wife on Monday and hanging out with you for the weekend, these shots are awesome and proof the talent is in the photographer not the camera

  5. Richard -

It was great to spend time with you over the weekend. I'm especially grateful for the impromptu taxi service Sunday evening backing up to where the eagle and peregrine were... your knowledge of the birds and their behaviour was very helpful and it shows in your shots shown above.

They're all very nice, but my favorite is the snowy (I think) and the alligator. It has a casual feel to it that you wouldn't normally expect in that situation.

    Hey Richard,

Sorry I didn't respond earlier but I'm in the middle of some post processing frenzy.

It was fantastic to finally meet you. The shoot last weekend was such a blast. I had a fine time and hated to see it end. You got some fine shot there. My favorite is the Great Egret pic, sweet shot. I hope you get a chnace to post these pics on STF too. Make their tongues hang out.
