Help (d200)

D200 is shooting as I will call it a black picture 1st shot out of the camera after it has been powered off for at least a couple of hours.. and yes i have taken the lens cap off... up load the photo and all the data is there..but shows black.. and is not showing that frame as locked either, any ideas?
if needed I can load the blank photo and show it here..

Have you tried formatting the card in camera? Another card? GH

Always reformat a card, never erase. The card`s File Allocation Table gets screwed up eventually and you can get fragmented image storage just like a computer.

Make sure the card pins look good.

Clean all the contacts like the battery.

After that make sure the mirror is going up and shutter is opening. Shutter delay mode and no lens will help isolate sounds.
