I've tried this several times over the past several weeks. I keep getting messages telling me my os is not supported and the installation can't continue. I tried installing it in compatibility mode and got a message misidentifying the os and installation stops.

I posted a help request over a month ago on the win 7 forum and have not gotten any responses. I searched and found someone with the same issue who was directed to a site with several dozen .cab files, but not all of them are applicable and I can't tell which are the ones I need! I also tried simply running the full install program from the hp site with the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From what I've been reading on the HP9180 email list, HP says they won't have drivers for this til the Fall. Some are saying the Vista drivers work, but I think it matters whether you have the 32 or 64 bit (one works, the other doesn't seem to). I haven't paid enough attention to the details, as I don't have Vista or Win7. I'm guessing 32 bit works and 64 does not?

Gretchen, I have yet to determine which drivers are which as far as any alleged 7 specific drivers. I have the 32 bit version of the factory provided driver and the updated version and I can't get either to install!

I suspect you're right about the fall. HP took forever to release Vista print drivers. Hopefully they'll be ready when 7 hits the shelves...
