Henry the Bassit Hound

Friday night while waiting to photograph the bike races at velodrome I took some pictures of Henry


This beagle was enjoying the race from the top of the velodrome too. He was howling along with the band.

 

That is the leash, very cool way of controlling a dog. Not really sure how it works, but they tell me that it is better than a choke chain.
It was really hard to get the shot I wanted with the 12-24 because Henry kept wanting to lick the lens. (It was about 3" from his nose) and the shadows were a problem too, so I used the flash for fill (can't remember if I put the SB800 on the camera or used the built-in one)
