The water below the dam where I shoot most weekends has been getting very low between releases, so you're able to wade out to the middle of the river, which is very rocky. It's fun, but when you're out there it's hard to get close to the birds except by lots of slow stalking. Anyway, this heron was too far away for a frame-filler so I waited and waited for a reflection shot. When I couldn't squat anymore, I just sat down in the mud. Ha! That's my idea of fun.
