a mother puffin hides from the killer gulls as the gulls rampage the nests eating babies
She looks so sad.
Randy, this is about the best story with image I have seen you post. Can you tell us more about the burrow, your distance, etc.?
Allan, I have to agree with you.
The nests/holes are everywhere, some within 15'. The gulls come and the moms run. Strangely the gulls only want babies although I suspect they'd take an adult if they were hungry
Good for protective mom...I agree looks sad and frightened....where's dad in all this?
Who knows, that could be him
Who knows eh? I'm off to CRC again tomorrow. Hope to see some of the new born owls.
Good story and good shot.
Petrified is more like it!
Nice shooting Randy.
Randy - that is a tremendous shot.
What a look Randy. It really does convey a story. Must be awesome to see.
Thanks Jim, The Farne Islands are the best place I've ever been to shoot birds
