High ISO and Shutter Speed in the stadium test

I didn't pick up the Z6 until after football season last year, so I took advantage of the marching band doing some late night practice to get ready for the start of high school football in only 28 days.

I ran the Z6 with the Nikon 300mm f/2.8 with a 1.4TC. Shutter speed in all shots is 1/1000 sec, all at f/4. The ISO in these seven shots ranges from 4,000 to 14,400. The only adjustment I made was auto levels in Capture One, no other edits were done.

I just wanted a feel for the base image under the stadium lights before any exposure, noise, or sharpening adjustments were made. Based off of this I can easily submit to the paper with no edits if needed to met the submission deadline.

Color me stunned, but how was the af compared to your usual combo, and were you in single point af or constant af. Note to self,
I need to read up on the 6 and 7.

Nice to see even lighting in a HS football stadium too. Even though it might be darker than pro or collegiate.

Thanks Wade. It gets a little darker in the end zone, but for the most part the field is lit well. And $1M worth of new turf to play on this season.
