His Baby Shot!

    The folks at NH Audubon captured this photo of the Peregrine I shot yesterday and this morning, on 5/27/05...the day in which he was banded :)

    Now that is cool. And amazing. How in the heck do they get them so young without their parents rejecting them when they put them back in the nest?
     
  3. His talons are almost as big as he is! They must have to grow into them.
    (Also note that you really can't read the band numbers on their photo...and the bird is sitting still!!)

    The parents have a flippin fit and try to attack the folks that capture them for banding.

    But they accept them back with great joy :>))

    go to the Kodak site and search for falcons and there is alot of information there and also shows the banding sequences. Movies and pictures available if you wish to take the time.

    They have a live cam each year. Wonderful to follow these great birds.
