Hogan's 35/1.8s and 50/1.8s Z-lens reviews

He is very high on both, and says the 50/1.8s is the best 50 Nikon has ever made.
I think Nikon in general has really been turning out some great glass at all price points consistently since around the time of the 85 1.8G. I've purchased the 85 1.8G, 70-200 2.8 EFL, 400 2.8 E FL, 200-500, and the 500 PF recently all of which I would characterize as stellar. In fact since the 85 1.8G (or thereabouts), I would be hard pressed to call any of Nikon's new lenses "dog's" or even sub par for that matter.

Agree and have to add 300 PF to your list.
