Holding a Jumper

I love how freaked out people get by spiders. Jumping spiders (and many others) are basically harmless...especially if you are careful around them. To increase the "ick" factor for those that hate spiders I wanted to get some shots of me "holding" some jumpers. I held about 3-4 different ones yesterday and all were friendly as could be. They enjoyed my hand so much that I had a hard time getting them off my hand once I was done. They kept attaching silk to my hand and crawling back up. Anyway, it was neat to feel them running and jumping across my skin.

Nate,
I hate to admit it but I am one of those who really doesn't care for those creepy little things. That aside, great shots. The eyes on that guy are amazing.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I found two more jumpers (both different species than the one above). One I believe is a Phiddipus Audax...not sure on the other. Anyway, I am really getting into handling I picked both of the ones up tonight again and didn't get bit...so far so good.
