Had a great day yesterday at the wedding of Holly and Daniel

The sun was fearsome and we did struggle a little for shade - but you do what you can ...... Barton Marina (reception) was nice but a bit featureless

Quite lovely, Simon.

Could I ask you to discuss your lighting setup and type for the last four shots? I envision that you had an assistant as well?

Did you have a diffuser handy to address the harsh sunlight? I never leave home without my Lastolites. They're expensive, yes, but are indispensably handy.

Thanks Joedy

I did on this occasion have a 2nd shooter - but I normally work alone - so the setups have to work for that

They were lit using a Elinchro Ranger pack system and a maxilite reflector with grid - controlled by the skyport system.

Heavy duty Cheetah stand with the auto legs make the setup quite portable and easily useable when on your own

Simon... another excellent wedding set. I gotta say you really nailed it in #12... that is a very well executed image in every way. 6, 7, 10 and 17 also stand out for me...

I love your lighting, and have to come clean in that I tried to emulate the idea a bit with some shots that I took at my last wedding. These are spectacular as always!

Now if I could figure out how to get the brides to just slow down enough to actually be able to photograph them purposefully for more than 10 seconds at a time...
