Hot / bad pixel on D80 sensor

I just got my D80 today (from another Cafe member), and noticed that there's a bad pixel on the sensor. I noticed it in a regular shot right away, and it persisted on the image when I downloaded it to my PC. I tried several other shots, including one with the lens cap on for darkness.

It came with the extended Best Buy warranty, and was bought about a year ago. Will I have any luck getting Best Buy to exchange it? (I checked, it is in stock) Or will I be stuck without a camera for a while, while it gets sent out?

If it has an extended warranty, they most likely will not exchange it... They should repair it though.
  3. I sent my D80 in for the same issue and for some reason they couldn't re-map the pixels like they are supposed to be able to do .
  4. When I had a hot pixel on a sensor, I had to send the body to Nikon, though I had it back in under 2 weeks.
