Hot pixels

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR' started by Hoddo, Mar 31, 2007.

  1. Hi,

I've just taken delivery of 2 D200's and found that both of them have approx two hot pixels on each camera. Would this warrant returning to the retailer to have them replaced or repaired?

    Thanks

  2. How do you spot/identify a "hot pixel"?

  3. I took a photo with the lense cap in place and covered the eye piece. Once the picture had been taken you then carefully inspect the black photograph on the lcd display - anything that appears, in my case on white and one red dot I believe is a hot pixel.
