How do I add a hotlink to signature?

Discussion in 'General Technical Discussion' started by Wilross3, Sep 18, 2008.

  1. Ok, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Looks like I need "HTML for idiots..."

I'd like to add a link to smugmug with the title of "My Smugmug page" like I see on a lot of your sig lines. What am I doing wrong? (See below)

    <a href="http://www.WFR3.smugmug.com">Smugmug</A>

  2. OK, maybe the term I mean is hyperlink...

    still trying!

  3. http://www.WFR3.smugmug.com

If you mean like this, go to User CP, then edit sig, click on add link (looks like the world with goggles on) and paste in your address
  4. That's close... but how do I make the text say something like "My Smugmug page" in blue, that when clicked on will take you to the page? In other words, without the URL visible to the viewer.

  5. when you put your link in - surrounded by the "" tags you will see something like ...rl="http://wfr3.smugmug.com/"]My Smugmug page

  6. Thanks Ben - that did the trick!

  7. looks like you got it!
