Question I always ask myself when I see them. They live sometimes in not so clean environs, thanks to silly humans. Yet they seem to be mostly if not totally clean.

Maybe it's a Clorox connection

    Beautiful they are...

Sure makes you wonder...Must be cleaner water....

I always wonder how GE lay those feathers so flat to thier body.

  7. last shot is indeed spectacular!

  8. I know why from living in a nice warm climate all year round, unlike us dopes in the North East

  9. Especially like the 3rd one, Ben! Great shots!!

  10. Well isn't it that whiteness meter you have in your D2Hs that just automatically makes anything with a hint of white turn white?

  11. That last one is superb!

I guess they sty white because they don't have to endure all that road salt that we get up north!

Great shots, I shot an egret today. He spent about 15 minutes preening.

always so appreciate you folks and your helpful and positive feedback.

A pleasure to post here. Have got the day off today, yeah you guessed it gonna go Machine Gunning  hope to be able to share when I get back.

I was going to go buy a tripod but the urge to see what I can see thru the viewfinder is just to great, and the thought of spending 5 big ones and dealing with last minute traffic/shoppers just leaves me cold   :frown:
