How many Nikon products have you bought this year?

None. I'd like to get the Z7 with the 24-70 and 14-24 but just can't push myself to pull the trigger. The D850 is, overall, more appealing but the update to my 24-70 and a new or refurbished 14-24 would make the kit way too heavy for me to even contemplate; sigh.

I bought the 500PF for me and two D3500 w/ Kit lens for our HiSchool Grandson and Granddaughter who are taking Photography Classes. That’s all for the year and looking towards next year. I’m thinking a D850 if the price drops.

It may be time (or soon time) to think about downsizing.
As much as I wanted to go up to FX, instead, I went from DX down to micro 4/3. This was specifically to reduce bulk and weight of my kit.
Lugging the DX kit around was starting to get too heavy for this old man. So to keep shooting, I had to go with a lighter kit.

I still use the DX kit, but more for specialized shooting, where the m4/3 does not work as well.

Seeing that the last camera I bought was my D700 back in 2009, I thought it was time to update so I bought a D810 in June.
Don't know whether this counts but had to have the SWM (silent wave motor) replaced in my trusty 28-70 f/2.8D AF-S... Doh...!!! 😢

Z6 with FTZ

24mm f1.8G

60mm f2.8G

Reluctant to get any S lenses while I still have the D750. The G lenses fit the Z6 but the S lenses do not fit the D750.

I bought a
  • D850 with grip
  • D500 with grip (non Nikon)
  • a 500mm F5.6 PF
  • forgot to mention a used 600mm F4 VR
  • and a couple of weeks ago a used 70-200mm F4, but that doesn't really count

There is a learning in all of this.....
Batteries
No Nikon products in really a rather a long time, and in 2018 was the first time I'd bought any new photography-related gear at all in a couple of years. In 2019, yes I have just recently bought some new photography hardware -- camera and lenses -- but not Nikon......
Nikon camera batteries. The others were starting to become old. Have everything I need from Nikon, lenses and body. Will replace only when they break. Did pick up some Godox flashes better price and features than the Nikon brand.

Bought a used 18-140 to use as an extra walk around lens on my D3300 and D90. I have too much invested in DSLR's and am very used to them. They continue to work and produce images I like, and at my age I am just not interested in switching to the Z or any other system.

50mm 1.8G

(But have since sold both G lenses - the Z mount glass just puts it to shame.)

Forum folks here are not buying nearly enough. Hurting Nikon's top and bottom lines.
Anyway I bought a brand new Nikon lens (first one in 10 years).
And four used ones. Sold six lenses and two bodies.
