How to give your kid a manacure

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by StL_Don, Mar 23, 2007.

  1. We all know that kids can be a bit of a problem with it comes to grooming, especially getting their nails done.

First, you have to find them

They often like to hide behind trees
    NIKON D200    ---    200mm    f/2.5    1/1250s    ISO 160

Once you do catch them they can be quite a squirmy handful
    NIKON D2X    ---    150mm    f/3.5    1/2000s    ISO 200

    NIKON D2X    ---    150mm    f/3.5    1/2000s    ISO 200

    NIKON D2X    ---    150mm    f/3.5    1/2000s    ISO 200

Once under control you can begin the trimming
    NIKON D2X    ---    150mm    f/4.5    1/400s    ISO 100

Just when they think they're finished you have to remind them that there a four limbs that need attention
    NIKON D2X    ---    150mm    f/4.0    1/640s    ISO 100

They probably may not think much of you when you finish and perhaps will even show you what they think
    NIKON D200    ---    200mm    f/3.2    1/800s    ISO 160

Hopefully your kids aren't quite as unruly

  10. Geez, Don -

    This was hilarious!

I'm now more appreciative of my 16 yr. old's rudimentary hygenic attempts, if only because we haven't - yet - had to resort to these measures - LOL.

Many thanks for a good laugh,

  16. Thanks all.
Glad to provide a chuckle - I certainly had one watching the trimming.

Our goats are really great pets.
Gunther & Gretta were hand raised and spent their first few months at Grant's Farm (an Anheuser Busch property) in the petting farm. Each fall they sell off some of the kids and we were lucky to pick up these two.

    Here's Gretta:
