How to: Long exposure/live composite on Nikon Z5?

After using Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras for a few year I decided to get also a Nikon Z5.
I enjoy creating images at dusk/night with long exposures.

On my Olympus I can set my shutter in Bulb mode and let it run, while watching the image appear slowly on the rear LCD. When I deem the exposure "cooked" (the scene bright enough) I close the shutter.

I am only learning how to use the Z5 and I was hoping if there is a similar way of seeing the image appear on the screen (live composite) on the Nikon Z5? or does one have to guess and hope for the best after the exposure is complete?

That feature is an exclusive to Olympus. As far as I know, Nikon does not offer anything similar.
ah, that is a bummer, but confirms my suspicions
Hmm, that means my light-painting evening images will be much more a guess work with the Nikon 🤔

Or better yet, based on real-world experience.
general nighttime exposure are relatively easy for me, but light painting are so much more difficult
The assistant walks around with a light source and paints the subject. Back at the camera screen, I can see what and how much when shooting with Olympus and when I deem that is enough I close the shutter.
With the Nikon no such luxury 😕
