HS Tennis Looking for feedback

Discussion in 'Sports Photography' started by Toivo, Sep 26, 2008.

  1. I have been trying to get more keepers as I shoot my daughters High School tennis team. These latest are shooting AF-C single area along with center weighted metering. All shot with my D70 and Tamron 80-200 2.8. Working on the better half to get a D300 but until that happens I will be using my D70. How do these look for focus and sharpness. I didn't do any post processing on them.

1 and 3 both need tighter crops. I've never shot tennis, so I don't know what your choices in location are, but 1 and 2 are both shot from the shaded side. You could make your life easier, by choosing to shoot the light that is falling on your subject. This may be completely out of your control though.

#3 three appear that the focus is on the fence rather than your daughter.
