Humming Away

Discussion in 'Birds' started by beaucamera, Jul 19, 2008.

  1. It's hard to captures hummers without a long lens.
This I was the best I could do at 105mm.

I like that, Virginia. There's a lot of emphasis on getting close-ups of birds in the ideal pose on an ideal perch, but I enjoy wider shots of birds showing their interaction with their natural surroundings too. [In fact, I had intended to do something similar this evening, but got back from dinner too late.:frown:] [double exposure or composite?]
  3. Thanks, Bob.
I'd love to see what you can come up with too!

  4. Excellent composition. Is the two headed hummer indigenous to the Bay area? (Sorry I could not resist that.)

  5. Fine capture. I'm guessing that they are female Anna's.
    Thanks for sharing.
