Hummingbird Clearwing Moth

  1. It is so much fun when these fellows hatch and roll into the garden. Here it looks pretty neet with the Stokes Aster as a background.

  3. Excellent captures John. The wing detail is great!! I am super impressed because they move around quickly. My humming bird moths appear to prefer the butterfly bushes right now. They are infrequent visitors to my garden... hope to get a few good shots before the end of the summer.

    Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV

  6. Those are nice shots, it would be great to see a large image. I went to flicker, but the image was not any larger, is that the nature of that site??
     
  7. My favorite little Mothra! And I love those Stokes Astors. Mine never came back. You did well with your moth shots, they are so quick.
