*Hummingbird Fall Classic*

Discussion in 'Birds' started by coffee, Sep 30, 2008.

  1. I saw a full-grown Costa's male feeding at my feeder this morning so I though
I'd be able to capture a beautiful gorget. But when I started doing my setup he's gone
and a few immature male Costa's showed up instead.

    D300/ 300 f4-AFS/ 5 flashes (SB800/600, 3 SB26s)
    all shot at 1/250s, f/10 at 300mm,iso 250

Hide, ...... I dont know what to say... They are great!! Do you have a painting or something in the background or do you edit the pics?
  10. Thank you, Bigbear. I used an oil painting for the background. It's a poppy
filed painting that I purchased at ebay.

Great pics Hide. I like 3 and 4 for different reasons. 3 is great but 4 has that movement quality.
