As I mentioned before, I was working in the garden yesterday.
Suddenly a hawkmoth whirred around.
Latin name: Macroglossum stellatarum

I couldn't resist ... :smile:

We have the clearwing hummingbird moths here, but I don't think I've ever seen your hawkmoth.
Hi Bob,
I have read that this hawkmoth is spreaded from Iberia (most western) to Japan (most eastern). In winter they can be found in northern Africa.
