    Pancake of some sort?
  6. WAY too big for me to handhold, I'd need a pair of tripods for that monster. Puts my 400 AFS f2.8 to shame ....:wink:

ps. When you post some "Up Close and Personal" Grizzly Bear shots with that puppy, we will REALLY know you were ... Up Close and Personal, as well as Crazy!
  7. ROTFL!!! Don, you're a hoot!!

That would be the 45mm f/2.8...I think. I am sure its not the 50mm series E, at least it doesn't look like mine!

You've got to get that filter off there when you photograph that little guy... you're over-powering the lens with it LOL.

    Yup... 45P!!
  11. It is the 45P.
Filter+Hood+Cap = as thick as the lens itself!
Such a cutie... I love mine too.

Congrats, Don!! Bet she will capture some sharp images!!

I love your sense of humor, man!! Your posts are always upbeat!! Keep on rockin, Don!
  14. With cap and hood, it's about the same length as the 50/1.8D. Very cute little lens, and is almost as good as the 50mm lenses optically.

    I miss mine :(
