    OK, I have a problem, I'm looking for a macro lens, Sigma 180 F/3.5 or Sigma 150 F/2.8

Choice is difficult, 180 maybe more handy.....larger distance to object, but for macro, a F/2.8 lens is useful too I guess

Price difference too, there's a difference of $124, the 180 is more expensive

So, all help is very welcome :)

I don't think the difference between f/3.5 and f/2.8 is big enough to fret over. For macro, you are going to be stopping down anyway. It comes down to whether your want/need the additional working distance, and whether the aperture difference is big enough to interfere with other shooting with the lens.

Check the reviews. You may want to consider a used Nikon 200 f/4 micro. Great lens.

I checked out what folks has written about these two sigmas. The only difference I could find is that the 180 is a slightly longer focal length, a slightly slower aperture and bigger.

Do ya want the extra half stop, extra 30mm or lighter, smaller package. If it were me, I'd go for the 150 f/2.8.
