I got a Winner!

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by misupix, Dec 1, 2005.

  1. The Cafe started it, I went deeper and deeper into doing Photo Challenges!

And now after some mediocre results, I got a winner!

    see: http://www.photos-of-the-year.com/best-photos/

It's just 1/2 of a Photo of the Month at photos-of-the-year.com. But it sure feels good!

The picture of the Charles Bridge in Prague was also taken on our recent trip, a few days prior to the one I participated with in the Blur-Challenge! Prague is such a great city for taking pictures, As soon as I get my other pics processed, I'll post a Gallery.

I didn't bring a tripod for this Trip (my new Slik Mini Pro was delivered 2 hours after we left:rolleyes:  ), so I had to use every pole or handrail for support , for these night shots.

And now I have to write a article about it .......

Thanks to all of you, here at the Cafe for your great advices, my abilities have improved a lot since I joined 5 months ago!

  15. That photo is definitely worth winning a contest. Congratulations.

Prague has become a very good place for photography. They have restaurated so much of the city. Especially if you are into Art noveaux architecture, this is the perfect place, because nothing has been destroyed during WW2.

  16. Congrats Mike. Good job and great photo

    God Bless,
  17. Thanks very much!!!

Unfortunately not every picture is like that, but my keeper rate is slowly increasing (thanks to a lot of useful advice).

I sure do, it was the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 EX DC. That I now use as walk around lens!

What do you mean by many lenses? You still couldn't compare me to Bjørn (lens wise and skill wise  )

You're absolutely right, great city, great architecture. Unfortunately I was there with some friends (non Photographers!  ) so my time to take pictures was sometimes limited  .

I will definitely revisit there, and take more time for taking pictures.

This might also be a great place for our European Photo Get Together? (Panos are you listening?)
