Feeling very happy... and want to share this special moment with you.

I've made it ! D3 and lens set is coming.

Just tested this great camera for 2 days... I had the chance to try 24-70, 14-24, 85 1.4, 200-400.... oh my God... a total reborn on my "photography sensations"

Metering, flash, AF, body, speed, LCD, DR, battery, ergonomy, buttons, handling, lenses... I can spend hours writing how great all basic and advanced features are. It's gorgeous and cause severe dependency.

Now just waiting delivery and take this time to read the forum.

I'll post some pics as soon as I have this dream set on my hands.

thanks Eladio, good to see you up here.

After 2 test sessions, I really think my work will be easier since a lot of processing I was doing using my brain (to much focus override, movement antecipations, metering compensations, post processing, flash worries, too much care with non-pro bodies (read 5D+40D), etc..etc..) now will be done (and pretty much well) by the camera. For sure I will continue using some skills and taking care with all points above, but, believe me, it's something "different".

    It's another planet, even galaxy.

Trying out a Nikon D3 is an experience very difficult to forget, and I did not. I don't even tried.

So, let's play with the new toy soon and enjoy its marvelous " really well implemented" and its terrific technology.

for my fellows Canonians : I would like to make one thing very clear : I respect Canon equipments I've using so long. It is a Great gear that gave me wonderfull images and moments. But, as everything in life, sometimes we must change to respect our will, and D3/Nikon lenses just took my breath away.

    Thanks Canon, congratulations Nikon.

I also can't wait to see it..
200VR will be here someday, for sure.

But, I need to buy at least 20 shoes and 10 new dresses for wife to prepare her for the box that will arrive... it will be difficult to convince her I just paid 500 (yes, five hundred) bucks for such big lens...:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: and a penny for the rest... hahahaha

I'm kidding for sure... I hope.. hehehe

  15. yeah...
i miss the days when i could "underestimate" the amount of money i spent on such things...

in today's world.... with the internet so readily accessible
carol can figure out how much i've spent in a nanosecond
    and... that stinks.....

    good luck to you

You're the guilty one... you had made it happens.
You'd showed me the beauty of darkness.

(guys, this is the friend that lend me the D3 and lenses some days ago... I think he will also be responsible for my divorce...)...:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

you know... better to say to her I bought all used and broken itens to fix it myself... that's why it was so cheap...

and burn the credicard bill before it arrives home, no matter what.

It will be a war operation... need to find and track the postman.

    Pray for my soul...

Greg, I have to giggle, every reply I see of yours regarding D3's or big lenses laments the fact that you need a 400 2.8. It's gotta stop - you are driving yourself mad @@@!!!@@@
