I preordered the new 24-50mm lens

Will report back when I have it in hand and will share thoughts and pics.

My plan is to build a compact Z system consisting of this lens and the two compact primes, when they come out, to have a light, grab-and-go setup for hiking, street shooting, casual travel and for social gatherings where I don’t want to be pointing big lenses at people.

But I’ll also still have bigger lenses to use for other occasions. So for me, the Z system is suddenly looking like it has great potential to be very flexible, adaptable and versatile. I’m really excited!

My Pentax era was almost entirely 24-50/4, any other lenses have been forgotten since they were neglected. (Oops I had the 40 pancake too.)
Hope it turns out to be the ideal lens for you!

I would love to hear your thoughts. I am more of a telephoto shooter myself, but it's neat that more lenses are coming out to meet the needs of differing shooting styles.
